In November 2019, the Oklahoma Legislature passed Francine’s Law which redefined the definition of a missing person and mandated the entry of that missing person into the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) within 30 days. The Clearinghouse is maintained within the Crimes Information Unit of the OSBI’s Investigative Services Division and is the state liaison with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). Additional units closely involved are the OSBI's Cold Case and Victims Services Units, the OSBI Forensic Science Center, and several partnering agencies pictured below. The Oklahoma Missing Person Clearinghouse assists law enforcement agencies and families of missing persons with available resources to help locate missing persons.
